Having owned a proliferation of sporting VW's, the opportunity to find original, unmolested, low mileage examples rarely occurs these days and to find one having had just 1 previous keeper since new means that this example is as close to 'factory fresh' as we've seen. The panels are free from any dents, with panel gaps consistent with Volkswagens high build quality. All the rubbers, side trims, front / rear bumpers have remained in fantastic condition suggesting she has been garaged through her life and there's no wonder this MK4 V6 4Motion wears its, rarely seen, badge with great pride.
Consummate with the exterior condition the interior is just as factory fresh too, there's even the waft of leather on opening the door! The interior remains free from any real marks, the seat bolsters are free from damage and the leather is free from nasty creasing with the inner foam remaining completely firm too, meaning she offers figure hugging support through the bends!
Mechanically this V6 4Motion has obviously been cherished. The 2.8 litre, 24 valve engine fires without hesitation and settles into a smooth idle with exhausts gases leaving the engine via a genuine VAG exhaust system, the V6 featuring a twin-outlet design. Out on the open road the V6 performs exactly as expected, with a wave of torque meaning that she pulls strongly in every gear, there's a lot fun to be had driving this 'wolf in sheeps' clothing!
A truly cherished example this Volkswagen Golf V6 4Motion comes with one of the best history files we've seen. Including her PDi, there are no fewer than 11 VW dealer services stamps in the 'Schedule' and naturally she also comes with a full book pack, a plethora of invoices, two keys, plus the original master key. The most recent service @ 61,821 miles in March '21, means that with an indicated 62,200 miles she's done less than 500 miles since and her new owner will be able to enjoy her from the first day of ownership.
Most definitely a modern classic and without exception the finest we've come across, this Volkswagen Golf V6 4Motion ticks all the right boxes.
